Have you ever wondered if there is a difference between local places to get prints made such as Target, Walmart... and a professional photo lab? I have nothing against the local big box retail stores or pharmacies, but they are only what they are. They use a machine to process prints with little human intervention. I doubt that someone familiar with color, light and photography looks over your digital images to be sure the quality is consistent and beautiful. Many photographers and bloggers have taken their images to local places and compared the images. It was worse than they expected! Each one looks different! Way different!
This is an image from Pinterest and from Corey Ann Photography. Thank you Corey Ann for doing a comparison test. There are so many done, I didn't recreate the wheel but you get the gist I'm sure. Click here to see the Pinterest Board with tons of comparisons.
Once you take the time to get the perfect image and have it perfected in the magical ways professional photographers and many non-pros know about, do you really want to get a printed product that is a different color, out of focus or too light or too dark? NO! Invest in quality professional photo printing. Those of us who value quality products know where to order, who to talk to and how to get the product to look just the way we want. Trust in that with your heirlooms. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT PROFESSIONAL PHOTO LAB PRODUCTS.
